Candrian: More Time for their Guests – also Thanks to the Transformation with UMB21/08/2018 - 11:16
What does ‘CLOUDS’ at Prime Tower Zurich have in common with ‘Au Premier’ at Zurich Main Station? Both establishments, among a good number of other businesses, belong to the Candrian family enterprise. The long-established gastro company headquartered in Zurich wants to focus even more strongly on its core business,s and thus now obtains all IT services as 'IT as a service' from the UMB Cloud. This provides Candrian with more time for their guests - true to their company motto.

Innovation and Quality of Services count
In recent years, demands on Candrian's business and, as a result, on their IT have increased. Even though culinary delights cannot be digitized, digital transformation does not stop at gastronomy; to be successful, companies need to be innovative. Alexander Arm, Candrian CIO explains: “Candrian lives on innovation and the quality of our services. Our ICT must facilitate the innovative development of our business. The UMB cloud provides us with the necessary freedom for the transformation."
Transformation into the UMB cloud – focusing on core business
All business applications and essential IT services will, in the future, be obtained from the UMB cloud, thus ensuring smooth operations. As a result, internal resources will be freed up - for example for the development and operation of new applications. Says Matthias Keller, UMB CEO: «The move to an ITaaS model is an important step into the future for Candrian and a great vote of confidence for UMB».
