This global initiative supports HP partners in promoting sustainable solutions for the environment, social justice and access to digital technologies. It motivates progressive partners like UMB to join HP's ambitious goals for a more sustainable future by providing them with a solid framework for promoting sustainability. 

The HP Amplify Impact Program

The program stands on three core pillars: climate action, human rights, and digital equity. Through training, resources, and assessments, it empowers partners to embrace eco-friendly practices. With a sharp focus on sustainability, the Impact Program excels. UMB’s 4-star status highlights its push for corporate responsibility in IT. Spanning nearly 50 countries and including distributors, its global reach is clear, while yearly awards and certifications spur partners to keep raising the bar.

Renewable energy and an environmentally conscious team

The use of renewable energy in our data centers is one of our key environmental initiatives, allowing us to significantly reduce our carbon footprint. In addition, our “Sustainability Chugger” Campaign brings environmental awareness into the everyday lives of our team members. The initiative, supported by Olympic ski cross champion Ryan Regez and others, motivates people to take simple but effective steps such as using public transportation or turning off unnecessary lights during the day. Our employees are already on the right track when it comes to sustainability. This is evidenced by our HP 4-Star Partner status and our ISO 14001 certification, a globally recognized standard that motivates us to systematically integrate environmental protection into our processes and continuously improve them.

Training and hands-on commitment in nature

Another pillar of our sustainability strategy is our commitment to the community. For example, some of our youngest employees worked with their instructors at an apprenticeship camp on a mountain pasture in Davos, where they cleared fast-growing bushes and removed rocks. The newly created meadows promote biodiversity and enable sustainable agriculture. Hands-on work like this not only expands natural habitats for animals and plants, but also gives participants a direct connection to the impact of their efforts. In the "there for trees" initiative planned for this spring, apprentices will plant trees with their instructors in support of our commitment to reforestation and conservation. Such experiences strengthen the team, increase appreciation for physical labor, and deepen the collective resolve to value and protect the environment.

A workplace with recognition

Sustainability is also promoted internally, for example through workshops on how to save energy in the workplace. Options like mental health webinars or an external counseling service for conflicts, stress, and personal challenges are intended to promote the team’s well-being
